Pod is a delicate sculptural study inspired by the quiet geometry and organic rhythm of lotus seed formations found in nature.
Composed of individually hand-shaped translucent forms arranged in a softly balanced circular composition, the piece explores repetition, stillness and subtle tonal movement through layered variations of blue, pearl and mist-like white. Fine metallic edging catches the light gently across the surface, bringing a quiet luminosity and jewellery-like refinement to the work.
Each tiny vessel-like element is carefully formed in polymer clay, creating a tactile interplay between transparency, depth and reflective detail. Suspended against a softly painted Parma Gray background, the sculptural forms appear to float within the space, inviting slow observation and a more contemplative visual experience.
Minimal yet richly textured, Pod sits between contemporary relief sculpture and ornamental object — designed to bring a sense of calm, balance and sensory softness into interior spaces. The circular arrangement echoes the restorative patterns often found in the natural world, encouraging a feeling of visual harmony and gentle stillness.
Created through repetitive, meditative processes, the piece reflects an ongoing exploration of tactile beauty, mindful making and the emotional resonance of carefully observed organic form.
