Matrix Atoll is the third piece in the ongoing Atoll series — a body of sculptural works inspired by the intricate structures, cellular patterns and luminous colour relationships found within coral ecosystems.
Built from layered organic forms and interconnected coral-like frameworks, the piece explores repetition, rhythm and natural geometry through a tactile sculptural surface rich in intricate detail. Soft white structures are contrasted with vibrant turquoise tones and delicate coral-red accents, creating a composition that feels both architectural and quietly alive.
Suspended slightly away from the backing board, the sculptural form allows light and shadow to move gently across the surface throughout the day, revealing shifting depths, hidden textures and evolving spatial relationships.
